Residing in a multi-use district can be challenging. Many have referred to this as "Town/Gown" tension brough on by cultural differences between students and adult residents. There are steps you can take to improve your neighborhood's quality of life:

  • Get to know your neighbors - Knowing one another will promote better relations and understanding;
  • Join a local group - The Neighborhood Action Project (NAP) has been meeting for several years nad has helped create sustainable changes;
  • Landlords - Be proactive, know your tenants and be present, not absent;
  • Students - Understand the City Ordinances and college code of conduct;
  • Call police - It is important for police to know when the problem is occuring;
